Day 1:Arrive Amritsar
On arrival at Amritsar airport, Live India Tours representative will met you and transfer you to the Hotel Ranjit Svaasa. Overnight at the hotel. HOTEL (Breakfast)


Day 2:Amritsar / Dharamshala (Approx 5 hours drive)
After breakfast, visit the holiest shrine of the Sikh (Indians with Turbans and beards) faith “The Golden Temple,” (built in 1764) with its top dome lined with solid gold plates. Next, we walk for 5 min to the Jalianwala Bagh where a peaceful procession was shot at and 2000 people massacred by the British colonial forces in 1919. Afternoon, you will be driven to Dharamshala - the place of residence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama. Arrive and check in to the Hotel Chonor House. HOTEL (Breakfast)


Day 3:Dharamshala
After breakfast, commence with a tour of McLeod Ganj (named after Lieutenant Governor of Punjab during the British Raj, David McLeod), established in the mid 1850's. Continue to the Dharamshala Monastery, near the new residence of His Holiness.  It houses three main images: that of the Sakyamuni Buddha, Padmasambhava and Avalokitesvara, the Buddha of Compassion, of whom the Dalai Lama is the current emanation. Afternoon proceed to visit the Dalai Lama's residence, Museum. Library at McLeodganj (subject to prior permission) consists of eight departments: research, translation; publications; oral history and film documentation, Tibetan studies; Tibetan manuscripts, museum and school for thangka painting and woodcarving. Day 4:Dharamshalla / Manali (Approx 6 hours drive)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Manali, set in the north end of the magnificent Kullu Valley with its numerous brooks and the River Beas running through it. The thick cedar forests cast and awesome shadow on this picturesque hill town that lies at the head of the valley. Enclosed on three sides by calm mountains, surrounded by lovely meadows and orchards, river and terraced fields this spot is truly a nature lover’s paradise. On arrival, check in to the Ambassador Resort. HOTEL (Breakfast)


Day 5:Manali
After breakfast, sight-seeing of Hadimba Temple – the temple of goddess Hadimba, who plays a major part in Kulu’s annual festival, The Vashist Hot Springs. Optional: Visit to Old Manali Village – Jagatsukh, located in the surrounding area boast of an ancient temple with some interesting carvings. Afternoon, visit the Naggar Castle, Naggar is a lovely little village set on a hill and surrounded by forests. HOTEL (Breakfast)


Day 6:Manali / Shimla (Approx 6 hours drive)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Shimla - the erstwhile summer capital of India. It is situated at the height of 2205 meters. Arrive and check in to The Oberoi Clark’s. HOTEL (Breakfast)


Day 7:Shimla
Early morning hike or pony ride up to Jakhu (monkey) temple that offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, particularly before the clouds appear later in the day. 13 kms outside town is Wild Flower Hall with spacious landscaped gardens and numerous varieties of wild flowers. Afternoon, view the Victorian-Gothic spire of Christ Church with its frescos, stained glass window and murals before strolling along the famous “The Mall” where the town folk gather to shop and socialize. Day 8:Shimla / Rishikesh (Approx 8 hours drive)
After breakfast you will be driven to Rishikesh. Rishikesh the abode of Saints and Sages, a tranquil retreat surrounded on three sides by ranges of the Himalayas. For thousands of years, sadhus (hermits) have meditated and performed penance here, staying at the numerous ashrams (hermitages) that dot the town along the Holy River. Arrive and check in to Hotel Ananda In the Himalayas. Evening witness Ganga Aarti at the ghats. HOTEL (Breakfast)


Day 9:Rishikesh / Haridwar
(Approx 1 hours drive) Haridwar / Delhi (By Shatabdi Express : 1830 hours / 2245 hours) Visit the temples & Ashrams. Ram Jhula Area: Geeta Bhawan, one of the oldest temple complexes in the area. The famous Indian epic Ramayana and Mahabharata are described here on the walls. Parmarth Niketan: Transcendental Centre of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Lakshman Jhula: a 450 feet long suspension bridge was built in 1939. Afternoon proceed to visit Haridwar visiting - Bharat Temple, Rishikund: close to Trivenighat is the most ancient place. Evening you will be transferred to Haridwar railway station to board train to Delhi railway station you will be met by our representative and transferred to Hotel The Oberoi. HOTEL (Breakfast)


Day 10:Delhi : Full day tour of Old and New Delhi
Breakfast at Hotel followed by tour of Old Delhi, your first stop is Mahatma Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat; the famous Chandni Chowk bazaars.Take a Rickshaw ride through the narrow and colorful lanes of old market. Finally visit marble domes and slender minarets of the Jama Masjid. After lunch your sightseeing tour of New Delhi includes visiting Bangla Sahib, a Sikh temple, drive along Rajpath to photograph the Parliament House, President's Palace and India Gate, a memorial to India's soldiers. Continue to Humayun's tomb, forerunner to Taj Mahal. Your final stop is at the Qutab Minar. HOTEL (Breakfast)


Day 11:Delhi – International Departure
On time our Live India Tours representative will transfer you to the International airport to fly back home
